Solving problems logging into/registering with Proboards

This is a page about solving the little login and registering problems on Proboards such as Special Ops and NFA (NCIS Fanfiction Addiction). Basically, you need to change your prvacy settings. First I cover the two problems ten the solution at the end.

Problem 1: Logging in:

So you want to log in to NFA. You go to the top of the screen and hit login:

and you type in your name and password. Now it's not my real password.

but all you get is a blank login screen again.

Problem 2: registering

So you want to register here. You hit register on the top bar

You fill in your details:

and you get an error message:

Both these problems are caused by the same thing - privacy settings. The next post looks at the solution.

Solution: Adjusting your privacy settings.

To use Proboard forums and many others, you need to lower your privacy settings. Go to tools:

and set down the privacy at last two levels:

Hit OK or apply and try again.

EXTRA NOTE

Came across a new ProBoards thing - the check characters were in upper case but when I copied them, they didn't work, I had to use lower case. Strange.
